Following on from the award given to @NormaFoleyTD1 I think it’s only fair I outline what SNAs around the country want. We want professionalisation and respect for the job we do. The treatment of SNAs this year in particular is nothing short of a national disgrace.1/4
Yesterday’s announcement of the award was a smack in the face to all in education who’ve worked tirelessly during the pandemic in our schools with little to no support from the department. Norma has done nothing for us in education and it’s an insult to say otherwise.
We don’t want your letters, or homework passes for the children we want action. We want you to sit with us and listen to what we are saying.
I’m willing to meet you @NormaFoleyTD1 and speak on behalf of the SNAs around the country and I’m sure theres plenty of teachers and principals who’d join me. Will you meet us Norma? Open invitation.
