In the below clip, Giannis spaces the floor in the weakside corner and ends up badly missing the three. IMO, he needs to continue applying pressure on the rim and should've cut here to create a 3-on-2 opportunity for the Bucks.
I sometimes wonder if Giannis places too much stock in his outside shot. Diversifying his shot profile is good, but his strength around the rim should still be maximized (if not for his shots, then for his teammates)
This is another way of doing it, as he attacks on the catch. He doesn't bail the defense out and makes them pay attention to him even if they aren't going to come out to the three-point line to do so.
He's got to get his, so don't get me wrong here, but I'd love to see an even more unselfish Giannis
He draws the direct attention of 3 Heat defenders which opens up 2 excellent shooters (Middleton on the wing and DJA in the corner). He's gotta hit one of them for an open 3

I love the aggressiveness, but when GA takes that 1st step inside the arc, his job is done and he should trust his teammates. Hit Forbes (a career 40-percent 3-point shooter) on the easy pass for an open 3
P.S. The amount of contact defenses get away with on GA is infuriating

Can I just say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE these GA-Middleton pick and pops.
This is simple, yet effective.
Giannis applies pressure on the defense and hits an open Forbes in the corner, making the defense pay for loading up and helping one pass away.

Giannis beats his man off the bounce, draws the direct attention of all 5 Heat defenders, is (mostly) under control and finds an open DDV for 3.
