Well, since @LACityClerk is taking all the time in the world to get the new council committee assignments up here is the draft doc that was sent around the horseshoe last week.

There are a lot of changes, and some tea leaves to be read.

Thread of the high/lowlights...
The biggest takeaway is Council President Martinez would like to avoid having these juicy zoom debates of the full council that we've been blessed w/ over the last year.

She would much rather get things ironed out in committee, and have them bouncing between fewer committees.
CM O'Farrell is off as chair of Homelessness & Poverty.

During her failed 41.18 vote CP Martinez made it clear she had no faith in him/that committee handling things.

A more trusted hand in MRT will now be left to find some consensus between de Leon/Buscaino/Rodriguez/Raman.
Public Works is no longer clumsily combined with gang reduction, although the latter is presumably being folded into Public Safety which is also gobbling up the Ad Hoc Committee on Police Reform (which was created to atone for Wesson jamming through Measure C w/ few hearings).
Ryu/Lee being swapped for de Leon/MHD is an improvement for the Public Safety Committee, but (even if it rarely met until this year) the Ad Hoc Police Reform Committee was able to offer a specific lens/community engagement that Public Safety has never catered too.
Remember all of those times CM Bonin spoke up and did the right thing as his colleagues cowered and bent the knee to CP Martinez? Yeah she does to and now he's off the Budget and Finance Committee.

Craig Lally and LAPD couldn't be happier.
Outside of CM Krekorian (and one could argue CM Blumenfield), there's no one on the council that knows the budget and how it plays out better than Mike Bonin. Instead CP Martinez is leaving us with potted plants like CM Price who contribute absolutely nothing to the committee.
CM Cedillo is no longer chairing Immigrant Affairs, Civil Rights, and Equity which is a true blessing. He cancelled most meetings and struggled to get his colleagues to attend the ones he did attempt to hold.

There was even talk early this year that it might get axed.
CP Martinez has handed over the Environmental Justice Committee to Mitch O'Farrell. Brian Darcy & IBEW are licking their chops.

Couldn't she find a slightly less important committee to put him in charge of?
Misc:

We've gone from 20 committees to 18.

Housing is now a 5 member committee, Ad Hoc Job Creation is now gone & "Jobs" added to the Economic Development committee.

"Audits" now have a home in Personnel & Animal Welfare (CM Koretz angling for city controller intensifies).
One glimmer of hope:

"Rivers" have been added to the Energy, Climate change, and Environmental Justice committee which means that Mitch O'Farrell has a chance to reclaim jurisdiction over the series and bring us Season 6 of LA River Follies!!! https://twitter.com/UnrigLA/status/1275653917406302208?s=20
