Even despite the transition into the streaming era, where most others fell off and became irrelevant, Eminem continues to top the charts with each new drop... even without promotion.

In 2020, Eminem surprise released Music To Be Murdered By on Jan 17th. The 20-track album was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's 1958 spoken word album 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents Music to Be Murdered By' and was dedicated to late Juice WRLD and Em's late bodyguard CeeAaqil Barnes.

Music To Be Murdered By brings features from @YoungMAMusic, @Royceda59, @Blancogold, Ed Sheeran, Juice WRLD, @SkylarGrey, @blackthought, @AndersonPaak, @DonToliver, @CrookedIntriago and @JoellOrtiz.

During its first week, it went on to sell 279k in the US and 415k worldwide, debuting at #1 in many countries, including the US and UK. With this, Eminem became the first artist with ten consecutive #1 debuting albums in US history, and one of six artists with ten #1 albums.

Its release also saw some huge first week streams on Spotify, with 217.6 million streams in the first week, and 50.5 million streams on the first day.

On December 18th, Eminem surprise released MTBMB Side B (Deluxe), bringing 16 new tracks featuring @SkylarGrey, @drdre, @REALDJPREMIER, @tydollasign, @majinmaj and @Blancogold.

With the deluxe release, MTBMB sold another 94k in the US which resulted in MTBMB breaking yet another record for the largest jump on the Billboard 200 with 196 spots, jumping from #199 to #3. Within the first week, the Side B deluxe earned over 90 million streams on Spotify.
