Every NYE, I wholeheartedly buy into the “new year, new me” frame of mind. Perhaps it’s cliche...but hey, choosing to acknowledge (and celebrate!) ends and beginnings is a pretty damn normal human thing to do if you ask me.
So I probably don’t have to tell you that this year more than ever, I’m embracing the hopefulness that comes with the idea of a fresh slate. Really, aren’t we all in some capacity?

But enough about that. Throughout this very challenging year, I did a lot of storytelling I am proud of, so I’m going to look back on some of my favourite pieces.
Kicked things off with Shane Wright being named the youngest member of a leadership group in CHL history. Have written a heck of a lot about Wright since, but this was a positive way to put pen to paper for the first story of 2020: https://ontariohockeyleague.com/article/rookie-phenom-wright-taking-the-lead-in-kingston
