I decided that, for 2020, I would go on a submission break to focus on finishing my collection. HOWEVER, my flash babies had other plans and, little did I know at the time, several of them would find homes with dream publications.

First up is HELLO, MY NAME IS MARLEY, published by the wonderful editors @CraftLiterary! IN THE LANTERN ROOM @7x7_la, a collaboration with the incredibly talented @kileylee_ who I was so thrilled to work with and I was so excited that 7x& put us together. If you haven’t seen Kiley’s incredible scribble art it’s an absolute MUST!

My essay in @byshondaland which came as a surprise since I didn’t expect to write any nonfiction and I especially didn’t think it would be published anywhere! I squealed when the acceptance for NOTES FOR MY LATEST BOOKKEEPER from @Little_Fiction found its way into my inbox! A dream pub of mine wanted my crazy listicle about a character (not me) who is obsessed with the maintenance of her (not me) books

It’s no secret that I’ve been a long time admirer of @HOOTreview and their micros published as postcards. One of my favorite micros found a home thanks to the amazing editor/artist/writer/human who made my writer dream pub a reality

Nothing like a woman who is obsessed with her gerbil, Gertrude Stein. This story was so much fun to create and is one of my favorite pieces to read. I will always be grateful to the editors of @minerallitmag for giving it a home

Special shout-out to @anovelideaphl, @kathyfish, @kimmagowan, and @TommyDeanWriter for allowing me to test my abilities as a teacher. Whether leading my own workshop or guest teaching, I can’t wait to see what the future holds in the era of the flash fiction/cnf takeover!
