Welcome to #teamqueens' new history blog and channel @TeamQueensHist! Our new project aims to bring global queenship to a wider audience through #QueenoftheDay #QOTD posts, blog posts on the latest research, book recommendations and more!
This project is run by several historians who form part of #teamqueens, an informal grouping of researchers including @monarchyconf, founder of @royalstudies network. The other members are @GabbyStorey @14thcenturygirl @HollyMarsden10 @whats_up_doc_96 @jo_strong_ @Amyesaunders1
@amyjanieh @_LouiseGay and Andy McMillen. For more information on our team, please see http://teamqueens.org  where we'll be adding intro posts of the team shortly!
This project is intended to be global in scope and move beyond and Anglocentric focus on queenship and historiography, and engage more people with all things queens! Our posts will cover Europe, Asia, Africa, Australasia/Oceania and the Americas.
Some of our research blog posts will also be published in multiple languages, with an accompanying English translation. We currently have some guest posts lined up but will be sending out a call for contributors in due course, with a particular focus on non-European research.
Be sure to follow @TeamQueensHist on Instagram too, and we look forward to interacting with you all! đź‘‘đź‘‘ #historytwitter #womenalsoknowhistory
