are there any neat summaries of internet search + information sciences+philosophy that cover:
- ted nelson + project xanadu & hyperlink
- douglas engelbart + interactive computing
- @vgr and trailmeme @ xerox parc
- @AREdotNA & more many more of the modern hyperlinked projects?
- Also of course @RoamResearch and @Conaw !

At the moment i'm very interested in equivalent networks that are less centered on organization of information where the written word is not necessarily the central unit
I'd also say @michael_nielsen & @andy_matuschak 's "how can we develop transformational tool for thought" https://numinous.productions/ttft/  & "thought as technology" http://cognitivemedium.com/tat/  touches on theory + history that unifies all of this
-> the idea that technology in its ideal form should be focused on intentionally architecting interfaces and networks of information that match + stretch human tendencies, and event invent new elements of cognition

(horribly watered down summary - you should read the pieces)
What if the meme is the ultimate end of hyperlinked internet ideals? The ultimate technology?

Layers of information density that show different strands of thought webbed into one referential creature?
