It's not as if we didn't know then that Trump was a dangerous narcissist. No-one is shocked by the last few days (or the last 4 years). The difference is that Johnson and Gove saw and it loved it - while the rest of us were repelled.
No wonder Biden's team view Johnson as 'mini Trump', and will doubtless treat him accordingly.
