1984: A book about dystopian government leaders who normalize misinformation using "alternative facts," lying constantly until the populace just accepts their nonsense and follows their lead blindly, ignoring all evidence

#1984IsHere? Maybe, but it doesn't mean what you think https://twitter.com/CornInMyNews/status/1347907773355450371
Their main means of control was convincing the middle class(think homeowners) that the lower class caused their problems, blaming the poor for needed welfare while the upper class robs the middle blind.

While the controlling class continues what they are doing.
Sound familar?
If you don't get that Orwell predicted the major strategy of the GOP (and to a lesser extent, the Dems), you aren't paying attention.

The fact that the Republican Party blatantly embraced "Alternative Facts" and Trump's conspiracy claims is the most 1984 thing I have ever seen
Except for maybe that the GOP's actions actually managed to convince up to half their party that Trump isn't lying through his teeth about election fraud and are allowing him to cause all this damage. That's about as Big Brother DoubleThink as it gets
