Today is the 7 year anniversary (transplanniversary?) of my stem cell transplant for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia #ALL

With gratitude and heartfelt thanks:

🙏 to my amazing stem cell donor who selflessly signed himself up to the @AnthonyNolan registry and saved my life

Cont’d...

🙏 to the wonderful @AnthonyNolan for creating & running the bone marrow registry

🙏 to the incredible staff at @royalmarsdenNHS who got me to this point seven years ago, got me through my difficult recovery & are still helping me
2/
🙏to all researchers, clinician scientists & trials staff whose research has improved treatments & survival rates (special thanks to @AdeleKFielding, @davidmarks1958 & all the UKALL14 study group for their hard graft in developing & running “my” trial & @CR_UK for funding it)
3/
🙏 to anyone who has ever fundraised for, or donated to charities like @AnthonyNolan @DKMS_uk @bloodcancer_uk @royalmarsden @CR_UK @LeukaemiaCareUK @CureLeukaemia & many more.

🙏 to these charities 👆who fund research & support us - always fighting our corner.
4/
🙏 to my family & friends - old & new - whose support has been pivotal over these last seven plus years. (Special mention to @debsoneil for “that” moment in Bud Flanagan West when my ondansetron wasn’t quite up to coping with my interesting lunch choice 😬)
5/
🙏 to @bloodcancer_uk @AnthonyNolan @NCRI_partners @BTRUinStemCells & others for giving me a sense of purpose.

🙏 to #PPI Twitter community for your welcome & support; to my @bloodcancer_uk Ambassador buddies for keeping me sane for the 10 months.

A thousand thanks all ❤️
