Let’s be real. Even if Kamala’s cover is fake, the fact that people think it could be real is a testament to how shitty US Vogue typically is, especially with black women. Let’s not forget how Anna did Cardi.
I still don’t think we’ve fully recovered from what Anna Wintour and Annie Leibovitz did to our good sis Symone Biles! I mean!
And outside of black women, most US Vogue covers are just... cheap. Giving me very much Fancy People Magazine.
Anna Wintour said “I don’t need to be creative because I have a rolodex with the numbers of every A-list celebrity in Hollywood. Buy my magazine, poors.”
These are two of the only good covers US Vogue has had recently, imo, and even then. The celeb-centric vibe is annoying.
I know you have to appeal to your country and all that, but :/ is this it :/ just these.

I mean, we’ve all seen the Met Gala...
And, courtesy of @VanessaNguyen28, Vogue Brasil and Vogue Italia. Look at how gorgeous these are! The colors! The style!
Anna Wintour wishes she had the range!

These two from Vogue Mexico are gorgeous, the second honoring Indigenous women. They have some US-esque ones, too, but far more creative ones with beautiful colorings and compositions.
Even Vogue UK often has better covers than us. They also love a good celebrity moment (yes, I know Cara is also an actual model) but look at these! They’re fun!
Re: Beyoncé and Harry’s Vogue US covers. Yes! He shot AOC for Vanity Fair, as well. https://twitter.com/pepperspray__/status/1348124532326981634
You know who did Kamala right? @ELLEmagazine. This was a proper shoot.
Vogue US is Anna Wintour’s child and she left it in a hot car. She must be prosecuted. https://twitter.com/yashar/status/1348145019408900102
