heres a thread on how to talk to talk to someone who uses neopronouns , by someone who is a neopronoun user !!
1. if youre not sure how to use the pronouns , you can directly ask the person !! if you don’t want to ask , you can ask your oomfs or search !! (links at end of thread)
2. neopronouns may feel weird to use at first , which is totally understandable !! it just takes some time to get used to .
3. “yeah but theyre invalidating to the trans community” as a trans person myself , they are not and never will be .
3.1 “what about those ‘acab/acabself’ pronouns on tiktok?” those are NOT valid , the neopronoun community DOES NOT reclaim them or people who use them . pronouns like those are likely jokes created by trolls .
3.2 “why not use the “she/he/they/it” pronouns?” some people don’t feel comfortable with those pronouns , and feel comfortable with using neopronouns !!
4. “well i feel uncomfortable using neopronouns on other people” we neopronoun users do not need to put your comfort over their own .
5. “kitty/kittyself , bun/buns , bub/bubs etc pronouns are sexual though” they are not sexual . if you think they are , that is a YOU problem .
6. “these pronouns are just made up though” the whole english language is too !!
