Thread/ UNC Spring 2021 Updates:
- Every student that received the internet supplement (aka extra money for internet) will automatically receive it again UNLESS they are now planning to live on campus.

- Students still searching a work-study will have the opportunity to:
A) exchange their work-study for a loan or B) Financial Aid Dept will try to replace work-study funds for grant aid for those that haven’t found a work study.

- Pass/Fail is the same as Fall BUT there will be a formal process for students to report faculty behind on grading.
TESTING‼️

UNC Students (esp. out-of-state and low-income students): If you are unable to get tested for COVID as a result of fees being too high or due to other associated costs you can get tested once you return to campus, for free. You can still return to campus and yr dorm.
I know that UNC Comms made it seem you won’t be allowed on campus if you don’t get tested before you return - this is not the case for those that cannot afford to get tested. Simply come to campus and let the folks know at check-in that you haven’t gotten tested yet.
Refunds can begin to be processed anytime now through the beginning of the semester. It all depends on where you are in the long line of students that will have refunds processed.
Even though most classes are online (with the exception of clinical sans certain labs) the testing requirements are the same. So if you are living in the CH/Durham area (not in dorm or group-style living) you must be tested, via UNC, once per week.
Unfortunately, in order for your COVID test to count you must be tested at one of UNC’s three testing locations. This applies to students that live on campus and those in the CH/Durham area.
- Even if you are all online for the entire semester, if you are in the CH/Durham area you must physically go to one of UNC’s three testing locations once per week to be tested. This is a requirement and they will begin to put holds for registration/graduation on accts on Jan.19.
