A few points about the school meals scandal - a lot of these photos show food from larger packages that's been rebagged/rewrapped . The hygiene implications of this in a pandemic are appalling. Also, lack of labelling makes these things useless for families with allergies 1/2
And the profteering company refer to specifications for their 'hampers'. OED defines that as 'a selection of food and drink for an occasion'. Shops offer 'hampers' as treats. This isn't some gift from Lady Bountiful and peasants should be grateful. This is real peoples lives! 2/2
"The guidelines state that the packages should contain food items as opposed to pre-prepared meals so parents can make healthy lunches for their children." (The Guardian). So, another call on people's time alongside working from home and home-schooling their kids? Reality check?

(The Guardian). Massive fail on all counts there then. More of the cronyism and incompetence that's this government's defining characteristic.
