I love you all. I also don't know how else to help people see just how much you are being manipulated. The people comfortable calling for lists to be made of their opponents to be punished and re-educated are some of the same people saying Trump incited violence.
Trump played footsie with a lot of people, including bigots and white supremacists. He is a narcissist that loves to be loved and it doesn't matter to him by whom. But that is not the same as "inciting violence". He has courted their admiration, not agreed to their agenda.
If you can't see who has been actually using and calling for totalitarian methods, I don't know how to help you. Trump had ample excuse last summer to use the insurrection act to bring in martial law nationwide. He didn't. He also hasn't tried to suppress free speech.
I don't like Trump's milquetoast responses to violent bigots. It is sad and pathetic. I really don't like legislators who are actually pushing discrimination, stoking racial tensions, and attempting to intimidate & silence others.
