I supported Warren in the primary, I wanted her for VP. I have not called myself a "Warren Democrat" publicly for some time, because the conduct of a number of people who carry that label has rendered it unfortunately tarnished.
If we spend the next 4 years relitigating the 2020 primary or the 2020 VPstakes, and we can't have any reconciliation then the progressive movement is lost.

We need to take criticism. We need to be open to change. We lost, we can't afford to act like we're above it.
Our movement has not been sensitive to the people we need it to be sensitive to. We have been aggressive, hostile, and we are treated as such.

If we want to be successful, it's going to take building a coalition. It's clear plans aren't enough. We need to re-evaluate.
We're certainly not going to win by alienating and fighting people of color who work very hard for causes they believe in and are connected in states that we need inroads in.

Stop thinking about policy. Start thinking about strategy. We need to win some friends.
That can only come from honest self-reflection and evaluation of what lost progressives this cycle. We lost when 50% of our numbers were relitigating 2016 and backing Bernie after his health problems.

We lost again when we couldn't find peace after the primary.
Every time we turn these petty fights into "wars about policy" it comes across as disingenuous because people don't forget that it started in a petty place.

Have the humility to recognize that we lost and we're the ones that need to change.
If we learn nothing, we will never win.

That's the bottom line.
