Ancestral Sorcery: The Court

The Court is a reference to the Spirits that surround you. It is comprised of Ancestors, Local Spirits and Spirits of Practice.

1/10
For a new practitioner, your Court will primarily be Ancestors. But it will also shift and grow as you yourself Grow and walk the Path.

2/10
Ancestral Sorcery and the Court is taught as the foundation of magical training and practice in my family. This is also why I am teaching this as both an enhancement for the experienced practitioner and beginners alike.

Foremost Ancestors teach us Sovereignty.

3/10
You as the living person stand at the head of the Court. Your Ancestors surround you as Advisors, Protectors, Guides and Teachers.

As Sovereign, ultimately you decide what Path you walk, and who you allow to walk it with you.

Ancestral Sorcery is a Path of Power.

One of the first lessons my Elders taught me was:

‘Ancestors are the Soil, You are the Seed’

Ancestors provide us with Foundations. But all the potential for Growth is within you.

The Soil nurtures the Seed.

This synergistic and harmonious bond is one of Love.

5/10
With no Seed the Soil is barren. With no Soil, the Seed can not sustain its potential for growth.

When you have a pool of Ancestors that spans back to the beginning of our Species (and beyond), there are a lot of Voices that may want to be heard.

6/10
This means that you need to curate who you give space to.

In the course, you will learn divination techniques to establish your primary Guide and Guardian to help you manage your Court.

7/10
The Guide acting as a facilitator and teacher of Magic, and the Guardian helping to maintain order and protect you.

Every Sovereign needs Advisors and Knights

By choosing to walk the Path of Magic you will awaken Ancestors who have sympathy with your own Magic potential

8/10
These Ancestors will become your closest companions in your Magic.

But as always you have the choice and the Authority to decide who you do and do not work with.

This is what it means to be Sovereign, to hold Court.
