So, I watched An Extremely Goofy Movie for the first time. It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, but I do want to go over the pros and cons.
First of all, Roxanne is not seen or even mentioned. I'm looking at this and thinking: ...wait, what?. In the first movie, she was one of the most important characters. This movie acts like she and Max never happened, which is odd.
The last one is...the X Games. Now, I agree with giving Max and his friends motivation for something, making them train to show it means something to them, and giving pay-off at the end. The action was pretty damn good, too.
This movie is short, and I would have loved more time.

I did love the look of the animation, the way the characters move, the lightning, and I thought the settings looked great.
I thought the voice cast did a great job, including newcomers Vicki Lewis, Bebe Neuwirth, Brad Garrett, and Jeff Bennett.

There's even voice talent I didn't know about until I looked it up on Wikipedia; there's a lot of talent in this movie, and I just love the effort they all put in.
One of my favorite parts? Sylvia Marpole, voiced by Bebe Neuwirth, who is freaking fantastic as the kind and fun-loving librarian.
When I first saw her, I didn't know what to expect. But after a few minutes with Goofy, she became one of my favorite characters.

Her romance with Goofy was so much fun to witness because each moment just felt fun and natural; they dance, bond over nostalgia, etc.
There was also a lot of touching moments between Goofy and Max, but also a lot of drama, which is to be expected. I am going to spoil a movie that's about 21 years old. My apologies.
When Max gives HIS trophy to Goofy, there's an inscription on it that TIES into the first movie. "I might not be your little boy anymore, but I'll always be your son." This was really well done.
At the end of the day, they have their drama, but they still love each other.

I also thought the credits were a lot of fun with all the characters dancing.
All in all, this movie isn't as good as the first movie, but I think it's worth watching--especially if you're a fan of Goofy.
