ok so rlly important dustin higgs update (thread)
this is as of 8:30 eastern standard time
witnesses at the scheduled execution had not received time tables, meaning there was a delay or expected delay at 7pm eastern time. (my timezone is mst that is why this was written at "5pm")
there is currently a legal battle that has caused a major delay in dustin higgs' execution.
the legal battle started because at the execution of corey johnson, the executioner was caught not wearing a mask.

this is a viable legal defense because the executioner can spread covid to the witnesses of the execution, the prisoners, and their own family members.

later, there was a confirmed delay for a meal break
the prisoners have filed a demand to cancel all executions until the court rules if they have violated the terms of covid injection
the court has ruled AGAINST the delay BECAUSE OF MASKS. if the prisoners decide to release another complaint, we may be able to get a delay.
we do not know if dustin higgs will or will not be executed tonight, but it has been delayed due to court procedures. if the prisoners fight back, it can be delayed even longer
the case is not settled. they are still fighting back and forth
this means that dustin's execution CAN STILL BE DELAYED LONGER. just not for the mask reason.
