Blasters probably for the first time this season started with a consistent line up in a 4-2-2-2. Except for the forced change of Nishu at RB. However Facundo was playing on the left wing and Sahal on the right. SCEB played in their 3-4-1-2 system. #YennumYellow

The pressing by the Front 4 and sometimes either Vicente or Jeakson joining in was really good. We were able to make lot of turnovers of possession and but was unable to capitalize in the transition. Most of attacks didnt come to fruition bcoz of slowing down or rushing it.
Kibu has understood that playing in transition suits this team more than the possession based football. So he has switched to a working system of high press and counter. For this Murray, Sahal and Facundo are essential. These 3 are our Press triggers. One goes, Other go. 3/16
Sahal has improved massively on his pressing, work rate and defensive work. Its just that he has to improve on his final 3rd attributes. Especially composure and decision making. Also the understanding between the front 4 needs to be better too. #YennumYellow 4/16

Set pieces are one of Kibu's biggest weapon. Especially with Facundo taking it. Vicente has license to go up the pitch whereas Jeakson is the screener. We didn't score from a set pieces yesterday and that kind of came back to haunt us in the end. Jeakson is screening well. 5/16
Defense wise am really satisfied with yesterday performance. Vastly improved. Nishu playing as an RB and also told to play it safe. Kind of improved our defense. Nishu/Jessel had a good understanding, if one goes other stayed back. So always a 3 man defense. #YennumYellow 6/16

There were few mishaps when they tried to play out from the back. But then the defense and GK started mixing it well. There were some good long balls and at last one such long ball from Albino nevertheless paved the way for our goal. Recognition for Murray's persistent runs. 7/16
Hooper played well yesterday in that SS role. In first half we were able to create nice triangles with 3 among our Front 4. Chances were there finishing could have been better. One thing with Hooper is he plays some long back passes which results in nothing. Has to cut out that.
Second half SCEB put Maghoma in the left wing. Which created some bother for Jessel. However he recovered well. We have to improve on our set piece defending. The goal came from that but before also, there were chances for SCEB from set pieces. #YennumYellow 9/16

Coming to what lead to their equalizer. In both half after the drinks break we started sitting back and allow the game to be dictated by SCEB. That cost us especially in the second half. We let the momentum drift to EB. Game management is something that should be learned. 10/16
1-0, 2-1 these are the most dangerous score lines in football especially for a team in lead. Our injuries played a part too. Facundo went off. Eventually Sahal and Murray both was taken off. That led to us sitting back. All our pressing players are in the dug out. 11/16
Kibu made a mistake by bringing Putiea on. I wanted Sahal subbed in HT. But when Facundo went off, then Sahal should play the whole 90 mins. All 3 on bench, led to EB having lot of time in playing from the back. Led to their best phase of play in the last 10-15 mins. 12/16
Yes Rahul clearance was bad. Yes maybe Albino could have come and gathered it. Yes ref could have avoided the retake. These things happen in football. Sometimes you need bit of luck also. But we engineered towards their equalizer more than our 2nd goal. #YennumYellow 13/16

Jessel going off. Nishu shifting to LB. Sandeep to RB and Juande as CB may also have affected how we defended those set pieces later in the game. We have drawn few games despite playing poorly. This one hurts more bcoz by balance of play we should have won that game. 14/16
Now onto one interesting aspect about the Ref. I have heard this guy is rated pretty highly by AIFF and others. One glaring thing he has to improve on is allowing the advantage and not whistling for a foul. There were 3 or 4 counters of Blasters for which advantage was not played
All said and done. I believe we have a good system now. We just have to continue with this. Playoffs aren't possibility for us. Just keep improving. I hope everyone is fit for next game. And Kibu doesn't have to tinker too much. Consistency is what we need to see now. 16/16
