Okay, since y'all liked it so much last time, here are some plays that caught my eye in reviewing last night's game. Might as well make at a thing for every game.

Mentioned it at the time, but Colin White was energized on his first shift. Hard backcheck, forces a turnover, creates an odd man rush. #GoSensGo

This shot block was a really smart play by Erik Gudbranson. Recognized that Mikheyev had tons of time and space, got low and waited for him to commit to the shot, and made a gutsy block. #GoSensGo

This was a bit of an uncharacteristic turnover by Thomas Chabot. Took him a bit to find his footing, but it took most of the team even longer, so nothing to sweat over. #GoSensGo

Tim Stützle almost had his first NHL goal on the powerplay in the first period. Really nice shot placement, and good traffic by White in front, but Campbell just gets a piece of it. Would like to see more powerplay time for Stützle. #GoSensGo

Nick Paul is really finding his game. The wherewithal to track this puck after it hits him up high, and bat it home was pretty impressive. Nikita Zaitsev's third assist in two games, as well
#GoSensGo

Matt Murray was definitely thinking pass on Joe Thornton's goal. Tough one, but a veteran play by Jumbo. #GoSensGo

Josh Brown is rarely going to stand out, but he's so good at making the simple plays. Calm under pressure, and gets the puck up off the glass without turning it over, or taking a penalty. #GoSensGo

Some more love for J. Brown. I absolutely love this type of stout defence. Doesn't flinch, even with a player like John Tavares bearing down on him. He stays with the Leafs captain, and breaks up the rush. Textbook stuff. #GoSensGo

Marner's goal was another one that made you feel for Murray. Stepan loses the faceoff, puck deflects off of Gudbranson, and no one picks up Hyman going to the net and getting in his face. #GoSensGo

I said earlier in the night that the bounces were not going Ottawa's way. This is what I meant. Brady Tkachuk buries this nine times out of ten. #GoSensGo

Two games in, Zaitsev is doing a lot of the little things well. Even when mistakes happen - be they his or his teammates' - he doesn't panic, and just tries to make the simple play. Really nice hit on Marner here to take him off the puck, and allow Brown to pick it up. #GoSensGo

Josh Norris is going to be having nightmares about this one for awhile #GoSensGo

If Austin Watson is going to be at all effective, it'll be through his physical play. Absolutely barrels through Auston Matthews, and on another note, I was shocked that no Leafs player got in his face about it. #GoSensGo

Sometimes, you just get beat by a nice play. Chris Tierney can't have his stick in much better position here, but this between-the-legs pass by Marner is disgusting. Murray was screened by Simmonds. #GoSensGo

Tim Stützle is unbelievable. He tracks this puck when it's 20 feet in the air, and has the hand-eye coordination to absolutely drill it, the exact moment it hits the ice. A well-earned first NHL goal, and the first of many, I'm sure. #GoSensGo

All in all, #GoSensGo
didn't play well enough to win, but I liked their response in the last half of the third. They'll take two of four points in a back-to-back, for sure.
On that note, bed time. I have a stressful day of football ahead of me. #GoBucs
