1. Yesterday, went to the top of a granite hill, where my late grandfather ran a school (what remains of it now, are small rocks to the left of the baobab tree), before my father was born! Extreme left is the legendary Gombe Mountain barely visible due to rain clouds.
2. From the top of the granite hill, this is the view of Ruti Dam on the Nyazvidzi River, which demarcates Manicaland and Masvingo provinces.
3. From the same hill top, Ruti mountain in Gutu, Masvingo province is visible! Can also see part of Ruti Dam. @NetOneCellular established a cellular base station right on top of that mountain, with no access road, even for a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
4. From the granite hilltop, Chiurwi mountain is also visible (left of picture in the horizon). At the base of that Chiurwi mountain, is Dzapasi School, which housed Foxtrot Assembly Point, the largest assembly point. The mountain on the right, is Mumwe, scene of many battles.
5. Years later, my late grandfather went to teach at Mukondomi School (it’s off the Murambinda - Dorowa road ) where my late uncle was born. Almost told those lads to get off the sign post, so I could get a good shot!!
7. Got these delicacies from our home. Madhorofiyo! Lots of wild fruits this year. Plenty of green nzvirus also but not yet ripe!
