Sooooooo ... I got tested for #COVID19. And I didn't die!
Y'all know I have been pretty resolute. Me will do di injection, me nah tek no test! Not doing it. No way. No. How.
That was until about midday today when there was a knock on the door. Two nice ladies from the MOHW said the Ministry was in the community offering free #COVID19 tests from their mobile van. It was completely voluntary and we weren't being forced to participate.
So we had a decision to make, do we refuse the freeness, or take it? Only one of us would really need to take it, because trust & believe if one of us in this house has it, WE ALL HAVE IT.
Well @shearer39 was decided. He ain't doing it! And Chase was too young... so guess who had to save the family ... AGAIN!
So between the time the nice ladies left at noon & came back at 3... I had several breakdowns! My friends and family and a few colleagues on the 1PM meeting can tell you... I WAS DYING AT THE PROSPECT. Looking back now, I am ashamed of me!
Anyway, as it turns out... the trick to you surviving them pushing the thing up your nose and touching your brain, is actually to breathe! Keep breathing... fight the natural urge to stop your breath. Just breathe
The challenge was the throat swab... it is very hard to hold your head up, stick out your tongue and say aaaaaahhhhhh all at the same time! Like that's tew tew much! You're asking me to do too much! So that took a while
So anyway after that drama, I came out the bus, my neighbours asked how was it? I said "disgusting". MOHW people sey me shouldn't did say dat because now people ah guh afraid fi dweet...
So now, an hour later... my nostrils feel fine... my throat ...not so fine!!! It's burning me! CHO!
Anyway, as I type this I realise, I don't know when I am getting the results back or why they selected my area. One would think I would have asked these things
