The fuss over Van de Beek is odd. When you join the biggest club in the world, you have to force your way into the team, especially competing against the likes of Bruno & Pogba. His qualities will prevail, but there's no rush. How long did it take Fred to establish himself? #MUFC
Van de Beek remains an Ole signing. The manager authorised his transfer. Ole knows how he wants to use him. Donny is versatile, but to play as a 6 in the PL, as he will now & then, he needs to improve his physicality...Just as Fred did. It's a work in progress & takes time. #MUFC
I think #MUFC are top of the table due to the two recent transfer windows. Yes, Bruno changed the direction, but the last window inflated squad competition. Strengthen your bench, & the starters know they have to be good, or they're out. That psychology is powerful in sport.
Van de Beek's signing has been a factor in #MUFC's short-term success. Training will be more competitive with him, Cavani & Telles. Then add Pellistri & Diallo. It's a squad that'll motivate each other every day to be better. That's how you push the envelope & become stronger.
