can we stop listening to literal minors on twitter as the authority on all things social justice and accept that most issues are very nuanced and there isn’t one concrete Right Answer that makes you a Good Person because every day my feed looks more and more like tumblr
form your own opinions.... it’s okay..... i know it’s nice having it laid out for you what all the Right Opinions are but you’re probably not a bad person if you disagree with discourse that exists literally only on the internet
the amount of tweets where i go to see how old the person is and it’s just a self righteous 15 year old... like i can’t fault them bc i was the exact same way but come on
i think people generally get more hung up on arbitrary rules than thinking about actual harm to people and communities and that’s what social justice should actually be about
i feel like criticizing ~sjws~ or whatever has got the wrong people agreeing with me so like fuck trump, fuck capitalism, Black lives matter, acab, trans rights, respect non-binary people, respect disabled people, liking fictional pedophilia/rape/etc is gross, etc etc
we need to have conversations about oppression and privilege but when ppl start having black and white takes about issues that they don’t have any real life experience with then that doesn’t help anyone reduce real world harm or treat people better it just makes them feel Right
anyone of any age can do this too which i totally agree with but people who are like 13 just by definition most likely don’t have the real world experience and also psychologically aren’t as well equipped yet to deal with these topics (which doesn’t make them dumb at all)
also stop saying tumblr wasn’t that bad bro i’m literally speaking from experience
