Ok y’all I have something to say. When I gave birth in a teaching hospital, about 30 different people gave me a cervix exam. Years later, I realized that it has sexually traumatized me.

I want you to know that you can deny allowing students to learn on you.
It was already an overwhelming experience and I didn’t know and there was no one around me to advocate and say “hey maybe let’s not have some many fingers inside of her.”
I’m letting you know because if you give birth in a teach hospital, you do not have to be examined by several people.

I hope me sharing this truly helps someone one day.

What I went through was not ok and has deeply affected me.
It’s typos all up and through this because that’s how nervous I was to share but it was on my heart. Acknowledging it and speaking with my therapist about it has helped me tremendously.

Handle my story with care ❤️
Whew ok I am also a survivor of sexual assault and sexual abuse and I want to tell survivors out there, it’s not always the stranger in a dark alley. It’s our doctors. Our boyfriends. Our husbands. Society has to do better by us.
