Some quotes after Leverkusen 2-1 Dortmund. For the Bundesliga world feed, spoke to:

BVB’s Thomas Delaney: “I had to count to 10 before I came to you. It’s very disappointing. In the first half we played with a bad mentality, with bad body language. We were lucky being 1-0 down.”
More from Thomas Delaney: "We changed it in the second half, becoming more aggressive and creating our chances. We let in a lot of chances today, way too many. As disappointed as I am, we didn’t deserve to win. We could’ve won but we need to do better."
Why the mentality? TD: "I don’t know. We changed it 2nd half. We looked way better in the 2H. But it was a top team we played. We need to figure out how to keep a high level for 90 mins. Not enough to show up in the 2H + expect to win a game like this or any team for that matter.
Spoke to Julian Brandt about ending his year-long Bundesliga goal drought: “I know that it's been a long time since I last scored, too long in fact. It's obviously a relief for me because it's been a while. However, it's nothing more than a consolation prize because we lost."
Brandt on Edin Terzic: “We spoke about the fact I wasn’t happy with the season so far + neither was he. We had a really good conversation. Edin + I understood each other well. We spoke about working hard to get back into my rhythm on the pitch + getting more goals + assists."
Brandt cont.: "However, it's not a simple process. I have to make sure I show the quality on the pitch I did last season. I’m heading in the right direction. Today was an important step personally, even though things didn’t end well for the team. I’m gaining more confidence.”
Then spoke to Edin Terzic about Brandt: “Julian is not playing in his regular position [on the left, not No.10] so of course he needs some time to adapt. He scored today. Also in the first half he had two chances and after the goal he had another chance." (1/2)
Terzic on Brandt cont. (2/2): "So basically he had four or five
chances. This is something that we can build on. But as
a team it wasn’t good enough. All of us are responsible
to change and turn things around."

[I don't think Brandt is going to be leaving BVB in January]
Terzic's game summary: "We started pretty well. We had a couple of chances in the first 20-25 mins. Then we conceded
the goal. After conceding the goal I have to say the
body language + reaction was bad. We accepted the
strengths of the opponent instead of fighting against it."
If you want to know why Dortmund are struggling, this is it. Sure, having these young players is fun + there are some successful notable exceptions to the "you'll win nothing with kids" thing. But have to be big questions on squad structuring. https://twitter.com/archiert1/status/1351690844080926722?s=20
Asked Terzic what he does in that situation as coach: “There are two ways. The first is I could do the same as the players and accept it. Or I could try to help and change things to turn it around. This is what we tried from outside."
Terzic continued: “Sometimes it’s not easy. Of course, we are humans. Sometimes it’s not easy to turn things around. I get the feeling that we tried it but it wasn’t enough.”
Asked Terzic about BVB scoring just 5 Bundesliga goals in the 1st half this season. ET: "I’d worry about it if we weren’t creating chances. But we created today, we created on Saturday. We’ve created so many chances in the first half. It’s not a lot that's missing at the moment."
Bayer Leverkusen were chuffed with this win. Spoke to coach Peter Bosz and goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky. They rolled out their usual one-liners. Bosz was off to celebrate with his obligatory red wine but just a small cigar. Hradecky was off for a sauna and, maybe, a beer.
Peter Bosz on the game: "That’s why we play football that the fans can enjoy. Unfortunately, they’re not there but in front of the telly. I think they enjoy the football we play." We do...sorry, they do, Peter. They do. Long live Boszball.
Peter Bosz on his side needing to be more ruthless: “When you play a top team like Dortmund you have to kill the game before. If you have so many chances and play so well in the first half, don’t let it go to the end so it’s exciting. We have to kill it before."
Peter Bosz on his old player Julian Brandt, scoring against them today: [said with a warm, loving tone] "I always, when I watch Dortmund, have a special eye on him because he played so well for us. And he’s a nice guy. Today I wasn’t so happy with him, no." Just look at his face.
Bosz on Moussa Diaby: “It was good because he really used the space behind the defence of the opponent. If you look at the 1st goal, it was an outstanding pass from Bailey but also the run behind the defence – he did well. He also did some more dribbling behind the defence."
Bosz cont. on Diaby: "He was playing well but still his last pass must be better because he’s one of the players who comes so often in this situation that he can give the final pass. There he has to progress."
Lukas Hradecky on the form of Moussa Diaby and Leon Bailey: "When they are at the top of their game we are a tough team to beat. I think the defenders when they see those two guys running on the sides don't go to the game with a happy feeling."
