6 months ago at my previous company we got told there’s going to be redundancies. Immediately all the minorities messaged each us panicking and talking about how it’ll be us because of who we are
It was funny because we were the hardest working group the only thing we did different was not entertain the company as socially as they wanted
My grandmother passed away and I mentioned it, my manager rolled her eyes and they didn’t even offer me any support or grievance leave
When I talked about the Xmas party and maybe making it more inclusive the entire team wanted to have more money for alcohol and said if they (Muslims) didn’t want to come they don’t have to. But they accommodated for vegans
