There are socio-political philosophies in this world that can anoint your heart with pre-suppositions that will calcify your heart and make it stony and impervious to the seed of the word.
There are ideas that once you accept them, will make your head coconut to God's word.

That's why I'm pretty sure that ministry will involve ministers being aware of these ideas and criticising them.

Consider the word Patriarchy.
I can't tell you how many times I've seen that word shutdown a conversation about the gospel with ladies.
That word has been so misused to set up resentment in the hearts of people that people don't want to hear anything associated with that word.

The problem now is that Christianity insists on Patriarchy.
Like I've explained countless times, Christian Patriarchy is not the same as Patriarchy of this world. All Patriarchy are not the same. Just like all religions are not the same.
But that word has offended her already.

You can't have worldly philosophies as the foundation and try to build Christ on it.
There is NO OTHER FOUNDATION that anyone can lay but Christ.
Christ must be your pressuposition and bias.
