One week until #BellLetsTalk
2021. Let’s get the conversation going before January 28th. It has been a trying year for all, so let’s make a difference. Next week, for every RT I will donate $0.05 to @CAMHnews. Because mental health matters. https://twitter.com/Bell_LetsTalk/status/1346064881041203200

Leading up to #BellLetsTalk
I will be sharing some support systems and strategies that I use to manage my mental health. Take what may work for you!

Day 1. Staying active ! I am fortunate to play the game of hockey representing both @HockeyCanada & @PWHPA. Get up and get moving ! A @CAMHnews “Game Changer” recommends regular exercise that gets your heart pumping. #BellLetsTalk

Day 2. Surrounding myself with caring friends! I am beyond thankful for many friends that have helped me through tough times and those that have also just made my days a little bit brighter. Friends from my childhood, friends from hockey and friends from all across the world.
Day 3. Taking time for myself by listening and connecting with music. This can often be during a walk, while doing a puzzle or just laying in bed. Music has a way of expressing emotions when sometimes I don’t feel like I can!
Day 4. Seeking help! Although the support from family & friends is great, it IS ok to seek professional help.I am fortunate @gameplandematch helps support athletes with mental health struggles.Reach out to your doctor, @CAMHnews, and other mental health resources. @Bell_LetsTalk
Day 5! This little guy brings a lot of happiness to my life. It is a lot of work but Henry is a fun pup to have around and keep me busy. He also brings smiles to others’ faces which makes it even better! #MentalHealthMatters
