to look at the person you're supporting and think,,is this really someone i want to encourage? sure, not *all* of the fans are bad, but if it gets to the point where there is a whole, large, portion of a fanbase that is engaged enough in cp/nsfw to have their own nickname that-
becomes a problem. and honestly i feel like at that point, combined with the pure amount of toxicity in the fanbase it is ok to generalize, to a degree. the fanbase is known for their nsfw, "poppytwt", uncomfortable shipping, and sexualization of minors both in and opposed to-
the community. please, learn to take accountability for yourself, and fanbase. stop blindly supporting somene who has shown that they do not care about you. they care about your views, money, and platforms.
for those of you who do not know ther eused to be an account called @/AverageMCYT. the owner of the account was 17 y/o (minor) and he posted screenshots of nsfwmcyttwt and pnsfwmcytwt/poppynsfwmcyttwt. along the way to retaliate mcyt stans took it upon themselves to draw nsfw/cp-
of average. average spoke out against this many times, and one time was just too much. he retaliated agains those who drew cp of him by screenshotting dms where they make fake pedophilia accusations against him. his account was temporarily limited due to mass reports of targeted-
harassment. average has since quit twitter, deleted his account, and he has left his discord server to be own by his moderators. he was continuously harassed by "fans" because he called out people for their disgusting actions. but continue to say "not all of us are like this"-
. i hope that you all understand the implications of your fanbase. the people who speak out from inside of the fanbases, eg. tommyinnit, and outside of the fanbases, eg. averagemcyt, are minors. it has gotten to the point that minors are putting themselves through traumatic-
harassment to call out what goes on within the mcyt community. realize this and realize that dream does nothing but amplify the negativity and encourage this behavior.
