Not sure if you're genuinely confused, Nida, or being disingenuous here.
I) When you write, "The best way to #StandWithKashmir in Pakistan is to oppose the policies of the Modi govt & the Pakistani estblmnt," you *are* proposing 2 and *only* #2LinesOfAction as the #TheBest: 1/n https://twitter.com/NidaKirmani/status/1352485080757903361
1) Against "Modi's policies" (note: NOT against Indian Occupation per se, which commenced in Oct 1947), and 2) Against "Pakistani establishment" (note: this *did* indeed commence in Aug 1947).

(The difference here is subtle but revealing and rather disturbing.) 2/n
II) One usually expects precise articulations from an academic. And you "stand by" your tweets, which means you stand by your proposed list of "two best" strategies, and their precise wording. 3/n
III) To even ASSUME, leave alone seriously suggest that "opposing the Pakistani estblmnt" is amongst the top 2 strategies is profoundly misleading about, & disrespectful to, a people facing an #ExistentialCrisis, i.e., #GenocidalSettlerColonialism. Ref: #GenocideWatchAlert 4/n
IV) As an analog, such a recommendation is AS loathsome as suggesting to Arabs that the best way to stand with Palestinians is to oppose "Netanyahu's policies" and Hamas in Gaza or the Iranian/Jordanian/Egyptian establishment. 5/n
V) If I may suggest, please do give #PaoloFreire's #PedagogyOfTheOppressed a read. Also, since you teach & thus influence so many others, please take the time to #EducateYourselfOnKashmir, FROM Kashmiris. Strangely, more #SouthAsians know more re: Palestine than re: Kashmir. 6/n
VI) In fact, that is my humble suggestion to ALL Pakistanis: 1) Support the Kashmiris' historical struggle against the #IndianOccupationOfKashmir, in whatever ethical way possible. 2) Educate yourself on Kashmir, from Kashmiris themselves. ( @standwkashmir has many resources) 7/n
VII) 42+ people quoted the original tweet, most were #Kashmiris arguing against it. Many Kashmiris replied to the tweet directly. You either didn't engage, or gaslighted them, as you did with @iqra_math. *That* is not a #FeministMethodology, leave alone #DecolonialSolidarity. n/n
