1/Let’s play “What If.” What if the 147 Republicans who voted to overturn the election results were under investigation for distributing child pornography. First, we must assume that they aren’t distributing child pornography, although the premise might be open to discussion.
2/ No, we don’t have any evidence that they are distributing child pornography. Statements were made that they are committing this vile act, but we don’t have any evidence. “Many people” have said that they are running a child pornography ring, but again, we have NO evidence.
3/I wonder if they would be upset at such accusations? I wonder if the continued assault on their “character” would bother them? What if Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, President Biden had a rally and got those citizens so angry, so energized that they marched to each of these homes
4/ I wonder if each of these republicans had their homes ransacked by angry citizens incited by repeated lies about their involvement if they would be forgiving and eager for “unity” and moving onto the business of governing. Of course not. They would be out for blood.
5/This is an extreme comparison, and child pornography is a serious matter, but so is our election system. Regardless of whether or not an investigation was ever conducted into their involvement, questions would hover over them for a very long time.
6/Their reputations would be damaged, and people would always wonder. trump incited and energized a crowd of insurrectionists. These 147 further advanced the lies. Our reputation has been damaged and the only repair is to hold trump et al. responsible.
