Read this thread. Here's my 2¢ - you won't solve this by "better" science. Everyone, and I mean, EVERYONE assumes they are using the "right scientific reasoning" for the conclusions they hit.

As communication channels and abilities are amplified, it seems we're losing our ability to actually communicate with one another. I don't simply see it in the diet wars, it's everywhere, in every field.
- Digging pits for one another's words, even if contextually justified

- Misrepresenting a person's perspective, rather than allowing them to clarify or give them the benefit of the doubt

Our scientific data for nutrition is limited, but if you want to fix the diet wars, you need revisit standard human communication practices.
