Last night a funeral service I couldn't attend in person was streamed into my flat. I did emails straight after.

So, I just wanted to remind people that officers are humans with private lives, emotions, and not everything they do/say is open for public consumption & ridicule.
This lockdown is different. There is such a widespread unkindness. Ive spoken before about the dehumanisation we experience at the hands of those we serve. We're not just "more public figures" We're students. We're trying our best whilst suffering the same grief & stress you are.
We face the same criticism as those on 6 - 10x our salary. And now I understand those salaries. My monthly therapy bill for me to deal with what I deal with costs me a week's worth of wages. But wouldnt prevention be better than cure?
At trustee board in July 2019 I said something happens between the cheers of election night and handover where you seem to lose your humanity and become separated off from the student body and seen as "other." That was 18 months ago! And we've still not fixed it!
