Hey, @joey_senator, have you thought through the economic consequences of this?

My husband & I have health issues that put us at elevated risk for Covid complications. If businesses can't enforce their mandates, we basically have to withdraw from society until this is over. (1/) https://twitter.com/TheTNHoller/status/1354129368621191168
My daughter was able to keep her skating lessons (for a time) and dance lessons because the facilities required masking. If they allow unmasked participants, we have to withdraw—and there goes our money. (2/)
We spend less when we shop curbside than we do in person (fewer impulse purchases!). We won't be able to set foot in any kind of store—and there goes our money. (3/)
If schools can't require masks, then I'll have to quit my job and homeschool for the duration—and there goes the federal money allocated to my student. (4/)
Basically, the only spending we will be able to do will be what we can do from our couch, and when we're down to one income, you'd better believe we'll be counting our pennies. (5/)
Multiply this by the thousands of families forced into similar spending decisions, and you can see why this policy will have disastrous economic consequences. (6/)
Not to mention prolonging the suffering and death you're already allowing to wash over our state.

When businesses establish regulations that help workers and consumers participate safely in the economy, that helps everyone. Please reconsider your harmful bill. (/end)
