OFFICIAL: Bukayo Saka has been awarded Man of the Match award for his performance in tonight's 3-1 win against. Southampton tonight.
Arteta on the win: "I think to come here and play the way we played after we conceded from a set piece and then still react the way we did. The way we played football against a really good side and the three goals we scored. I think we should be proud.
Arteta on Bukayo Saka (1/3): "Bukayo is doing really well. He’s all the time asking to train more to improve in areas that he can do better. That was certainly one, producing the final bit in the box to score or assist. He’s doing that much more often.
Arteta on Bukayo Saka (2/3): If he’s able to do that with the intelligence that he has, with the work rate that he shows on the pitch and with the capacity that he has to understand the game in different positions, then he becomes a really different player.
Arteta on Bukayo Saka (3/3):He's really humble, really respectful and at the same time has that character to demand the ball, to make decisions that are not very usual for his age. We need that leadership and he's gaining that with his attitude & his performances.
Arteta on Smith Rowe's fitness: "He was injured for the game in the FA Cup so he wasn’t available. And we knew that probably today he could not play the whole game. He had some muscular discomfort and he had to come off again."
Arteta on Arsenal's top 4 credentials: "I want to look at ourselves and how can we get better, the reason why we are performing better and get that consistency that we’ve been lacking. Improve in many areas that we have to get better at it and see where we get by doing that."
Arteta on Ødegaard's move to Arsenal: "I think we are pretty close but it’s not finalised. As I’m standing here, we haven’t talked to Edu and the club in the past few hours. But we are very positive that we can finalise the deal."
Arteta on Aubameyang: "I love how they support eachother and protect eachother. Auba is having a difficult time, we're all behind him and this win is for him."
Smith Rowe: "To play for the club I've dreamed of playing for all my life - I can't really put it into words & say how much it means to me. I'm really happy at the moment"

Discussions are taking place to terminate Mustafi's contract. He isn't in the plans of Mikel Arteta, Gabriel, Luiz, Mari & Chambers are all ahead of him in the pecking order. Odegaard spent Monday at Arsenal's training ground ahead of Arsenal finalising his move. ( @MailSport)
