From today, no-one can make a new claim for ESA, and the removal of the #SevereDisabilityPremium Gateway means the vital money people receive to help them manage their disability on #legacybenefits, can be subject to erosion if they're pushed onto #UniversalCredit (1)
Many people pushed from legacy benefits to #UniversalCredit will lose out financially and face harm as a result of the inadequate UC system. Of particular concern, are those in the ESA Support Group, who would arguably suffer the most if pushed onto UC as it stands (2)
It is for this reason that we are calling for a series of reforms to the design and delivery of #UniversalCredit, outlined in our #BluntBureaucraticAndBroken report https://bit.ly/38vV1BM , to be implemented before anyone else is pushed onto #UniversalCredit (3)
One of these reforms is that #UniversalCredit must have a disability element added, that leaves no-one worse off on #UniversalCredit than in the legacy system https://bit.ly/38vV1BM  (4)
