As an aside, "expert gives same advice to multiple institutions" = conflict of interest is... stupid.
When the hyper partisans were on me about giving policy advice to the government, they'd imply I only held certain views because it was the Liberal government. Which of course is ass-backwards... 1/2
*They* came to *me* because I had informed views. The accusation that I was 'defending' policy positions I had advanced to the government was proof I was a Liberal was mind-blowing, and proof of the naked bias/partisanship of those making the accusation.
The same is absolutely true of @DFisman. The implication of these smears is that he only holds his views because he's given them to the ETFO. When of course the ETFO only came to him in the first place *because* of his views.
I hope the credible news organizations covering this story get that basic understanding of how this works right.
