One of the goals is to get parents talking with kids about what to do if they find a gun, and I CANNOT AGREE WITH THIS ENOUGH.
A couple left their loaded Glock in my local elementary school's park bathroom, and kids found it. Luckily they did the right thing and told adults.

Whatever your views on firearms, you have to talk to kids about them. I've covered too many accidental deaths to ever allow one in my home, but I live in a state with 177,000 registered guns. I don't have the luxury of hoping my kids will never come across one.
