Anyone pushing a fear based narrative around BH/BTS becoming too dominant and taking over the KPop/Kmusic market is just...clueless, to put it kindly.

The “Big3” is, and was, basically a myth.

Who really has power?
Tech & mass media co’s.
Do you know KakaoM (now KakaoEnt)? https://twitter.com/renkiger/status/1354121193058516993
They significantly helped Apple Music fail in 2016 when it entered the Korean market. They’re currently a huge hurdle for Spotify.
They not only own Melon, they own a huge roster of subsidiary music labels + artists - even MORE than those in info graphic attached in the above QT.
If anyone is posting abt being “worried” abt a “monopoly” and says BH is a problem? Hahahaha!
KakaoEnt is one of the actual monsters in the closet. And take a look at CJ ENM.
These are the entities to “worry” abt.
Not the scrappy (comparatively still little)15 yr old start up, BH
Ah, my little rant thread is well timed as that newly formed KakaoEnt referenced in my QT is going public this year. More info: https://twitter.com/tmikpop/status/1354902342198583298
