Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to the greatest photojournalist of all time: W Eugene Smith. Smith is the master of the B&W photo essay @WeHaveWaysPod @almurray @James1940
Smith covered the pacific war for LIFE magazine, known as “wonderful” buy the marines, they respected his bravery and ability to communicate their war @WeHaveWaysPod
Smith landed on Saipan, Guam and Okinawa, where he was wounded taking a photo of the mortar that injured him. He couldn’t pick up a camera for 2 years afterwards due to injuries @WeHaveWaysPod
He went on to co-found MAGNUM photo agency after the war, renowned for obsessively photographing every minute detail of his assignments. @WeHaveWaysPod
