Designing great resonance is THE job of the creative director.

It's their role to make sure all the component parts of a game work together in harmony.

They need to be able to communicate the central themes of the game to every department so everyone play their part.
Everyone who studied any arts programme at uni already know about resonance.

Our grades and career future depended on designing and executing good resonance.

The only reason it might be considered a "secret" is because there aren't enough artists in games.
