The sword dance video is a shining example of my favorite thing about Yoongi that has been really prominent in his contents lately. He loves showing us that he isn't afraid to be a beginner. He isn't shy about revealing the very first time he tries something. +
and for someone with millions of eyes on him with high expectations, I think it would be extremely scary and unnerving to try new skills in front of that audience, but he does this unflinchingly, and has done it multiple times now. I find it utterly amazing and inconceivable lol
For instance, painting - never done it before, so why not try for the first time on a livestream? What if it was embarrassing and terrible (of course it wasn't) but how does someone just do that and not worry?? I could never
And then guitar - no problem calling himself a complete beginner and asking for tips and showing just a few songs. The very start of his learning journey. And now the sword dance video - sure, just film me on day 1 when I've NEVER done this
How does his mind work like this? I think because he is so dedicated to the process of creating something in equal measure as he is proud of the results. He loves to show off the full journey and take us with him and that is so special to witness
I just had to rave about yoongi's incredible personality and approach to his work and how he cultivates a relationship with his audience in this unique way. I just adore that about him
PS let's work hard to meet our birthday support goals for Yoongi this year! I'm feeling especially stream-y after that practice video! @BTS_twt

⚔️
PPS: I'm praying Memories 2020 will have the extended practice footage since he mentioned a whole confrontation scene was cut out by the director, and we never saw what else he practiced for 2 days 👀
