Another year another 30 million grant to "help" #Africans do something that they were already doing.

@PATHtweets and @PMIgov launch a "global" project to advance the use of new tools to fight #malaria,
But none of the partners listed are from African institutions. Seriously?!?
When I was at @LSHTM we worked closely w/ @KEMRI_Wellcome in #Nairobi. They had already been doing work to incr. data for decision making. They even called their collective 'Inform'--the name the consortium has chosen. That work was w/ @WHOAFRO & #NMCPs to build regional capacity
How could a partner with so much experience and who literally is amongst the trailblazers in this field be ignored as a primary partner for this work? Further, how can every African research and academic institution or lab that has been working on #malaria been ignored for this?
