The card is a 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan Base, PSA 10
Remind 35 yrs-
Due to a licensing lapse, Topps did not produce NBA cards from 1982-1986.
This meant the 1986 Fleer set served as the "rookie" card for every player in that time frame, including Michael Jordan.

We're talking half of the damn Dream Team...
Hakeem Olajuwon
Dominique Wilkins
Charles Barkley
Isaiah Thomas
Patrick Ewing
Clyde Drexler
Karl Malone
Chris Mullin
It's an iconic card set.

Now, the Michael Jordan card in question is a PSA 10 - that's a perfect 10 out of 10. Especially rare for this set cuz of the red corners.
This is the perfect MJ rookie card.
And here's the kicker: There are only 316 of these cards in this condition in existence.
Scarcity:

Now let's talk about demand.
For yrs, value slowly increases on track with or beating the S&P 500. From 2006 to 2020 the card goes from $6k to $40k.
Things start getting weird in spring of 2020 when the "The Last Dance" documentary is released.
A sale is completed at $96k. LFG

(This kind of predictability is something I love about the card market but we'll save that for another day)
The rookie card cools off after the documentary, but the rest is history.
In October, @OnRallyRoad IPO's the card for $100k selling 10,000 shares at $10ea to investors.
In January, Rally receives an offer for $265,000.
Shareholders vote to decline the offer.

What's next for the '86 Fleer?

Why I think MJ's rookie is worth $1M:
Card market growth
This card is pure nostalgia
A legend AND cultural icon
MJ still gonna be MJ in 25 years
Inflation (they are printing money guys)
Various comps. Logoman Zion to Mickie Mantle
YOU THINK IT CAN HIT $1M ?
