Jews and black people have long been two of the most oppressed groups in America and in history in general. Jews were key allies of black people during important movements like the Civil Rights movement, and black people were key allies of Jews in various movements as well.
The reason the two groups are divided today is a product of white Christian elites and conspiracy theorists who like to try to direct black people's anger away from them, the rightful recipients, and towards Jews.

society, but they do that based on their Whiteness, not their Jewishness. Jewish people have a tendency to assimilate massively into white society, which has protected us from some of the tragedies suffered by black people. The Jewishness of these powerful (cont)
assimilators is used to direct the anger of oppressed groups towards Jews, who are an oppressed group that can hide the reason White christians oppress them (their religion). To be clear, this is not all white christians, just some people (usually with power). (cont)
So why is this important? Well, there is a significant divide in today's Jewish community. One portion of the community are Zionists. Zionists tend to be racists because of their belief that Jews, at whatever cost, have a right to colonize Israel/Palestine. (cont)
The other portion (of which I am a member) is the anti/non Zionists. They either think that Jews have no direct right to Israel or that the Jews should have some form of right to Israel but not at the expense of anyone else the way it is now.
Now the Israel-Palestine conflict is a complex geopolitical event I can't get into in this thread, but just know it is so bad for Palestinians in Israel, they would rather side and live in dictator nations controlled by terrorists. (cont)
Palestianians in Israel are a lot like Black people in the 40s-60s in America. They are treated as second class citizens and are restricted from living a free life. Zionists tend to side with racists in America because they can hide their Jewishness and it makes them feel (cont)
