Some good news: it looks like the Oxford vaccine may both substantially reduce transmission AND reduces symptomatic infections in people who've had just a single dose for 3 months - evidence to support the decision to extend the interval between doses
One of the most important parts of this preprint: 22 days after immunisation - NONE - of the 12,408 people vaccinated with a single dose of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine were hospitalised with COVID-19.
PLUS it looks like the vaccine efficiency against symptomatic covid actually ***IMPROVES*** with a longer interval between the first and second dose.

This will be reassuring to people who had the first dose and are concerned about the wait until the second.
