Things I’ve learned on TikTok that I need to pass on to other olds (I’m 34) (A THREAD)

1. If you part your hair on the side you look old, the youths part in the middle
2. Skinny jeans are out
3. Everyone has these LED Light strips in their rooms and kitchens and everywhere
4. Everyone drinks iced coffee with oat milk
5. There is a special young person way to contour your nose with makeup.
There is a song called driver’s license that they listen to on repeat and it’s good as hell I’m sorry but it is
7 (oops I forgot to number the last one) they all wear this carhartt beanie (girls and boys)
8. There are tons of cool artists with small businesses on TikTok, it’s a cool place to look for art. I thought it was just dancing
9. The young people all have skincare routines and organized homes and soothing bedtime rituals, they are more evolved than I was/am?!
10. “Cleaning TikTok” is really into this stuff called dawn powerwash (I tried it and love it, I use it for more than just dishes. They also put these scent-enhancing things into their laundry.
I am an anthropologist (not really) studying the youngins on TikTok (not really) and will continue to post interesting tidbits I find
